The Goff Air Duct Cleaning Process

Have you ever given any thought to the air you’re breathing in your home and how clean it is? Luckily, there are many options to help you enjoy cleaner air. For example, you can get regular filter replacements, an annual system service with air intake chamber cleaning, or even have UV lighting installed in the ducts to improve your air quality. You may also want to consider the AccuClean Whole Home Air Filtration System or the Reme Halo Whole Home In-Duct Air Purifer for your air purification needs.

One thing we always recommend to improve your air quality is calling on Goff Heating/Air Conditioning and Plumbing to clean your air ducts!

Our Air Duct Cleaning Process

Your path to cleaner air starts when our specialized duct cleaning truck rolls up to your home. The technician reviews the services you requested to make sure everyone is on the same page.

Once they’re inside, the technician gets your home ready by covering the floors and furniture under your vents with protective cloths. They then attach the 8-inch vacuum hose to the main duct connection box that is linked to your air handler to catch all the contaminants.

The technician seals off all HVAC and air intake vents to maximize the flow of the vacuum and then gets started with the vent furthest from the air handler. They remove the grille and insert the high-pressure air hose with a nylon whip tip, and these work together so the vacuum can pull all the dirt and debris into the containment bin. The technician does this for every vent in the house until they get back to the air handler.

Finally, the technician will make sure the other parts of your HVAC system are cleaned before they reinstall all the freshly cleaned grilles. Once everything is sparkling, they review the whole service with you to answer your questions and make sure you’re satisfied!
